More Present-Tense Verbs
Remember!
A present-tense verb must agree with the noun in the subject of the sentence.
For verbs that end in ss, ch, sh, or x: When the noun in the subject is singular, add -es.
When the noun in the subject is plural, do not add -es.
For verbs that end in a consonant and y: When the noun in the subject is singular, change y to i and add -es. When the noun in the subject is plural, do not change y to i or add -es.
